How it works

Three steps, one link

  1. Invite

    Paste a list from Excel or add learners one by one. Each person gets their link by SMS or email.

    Reminder after a set period, resend at any time.

  2. Capture

    The person opens the link on their phone. The live check says what to change before they take the photo.

    No account, no app. A photo from the gallery works too.

  3. Collect

    You see who has submitted and download the photos as a ZIP: one folder per format, each file named after the ID number.

    Photos and personal data are deleted after a set period.

Checked photos for Microsoft 365

Switch on PortraitBridge and the checked photo becomes the profile picture in Outlook, Teams and SharePoint. Learners take it themselves; only what passed the check reaches Microsoft 365.

  • The right to one's own image stays. Learners take their profile picture themselves and confirm it. Only the profile picture of the person who signed in is set.
  • Only checked photos. PortraitBridge takes what passed the check and, if you require it, was approved. A blocked photo never becomes a profile picture.
  • No swapping at will. A new profile picture goes through the same check as the first. Whether learners may also upload their own pictures in Teams or Outlook is set by your school IT in Microsoft 365.
  • One click in the intranet. “Update my profile picture” in the intranet, SharePoint or Teams, signed in with the school account. Learners need no other account.
  • Switched on in the console. One click creates the access for PortraitBridge; your school IT approves the app in Microsoft 365.

Privacy

What happens to the photos

  • No account, no app. Learners only need the link.
  • Faces stay real. Crop, tones, sharpness. At most a single colour replaces the background; no generative image model.
  • No face embeddings. The check measures quality; it recognises no one.
  • Deleted after a set period. The original shortly after collection, the finished photos 30 days later. There is no archive.
  • Operated in Europe. Servers at Hetzner in Germany. The additional check, if switched on, at Infomaniak in Switzerland.
  • Each school on its own. Its own tenant, separated down to the database.
